A mob’s always made up of people, no matter what. Mr. Cunningham was part of a mob last night, but he was still a man. Every mob in every little Southern town is always made up of people you knowAtticus Finch, Harper Lee's To Kill a Mockingbird
At Indiv we believe that we're all individuals. We believe that we're all driven by our thoughts, fears and experiences. That, no matter what, there is always a reason why we see the world the way we do. We believe that we shouldn't hate someone we've never met.
We're building a new way to interact online. A way where we focus on the people. Without bias. Each user is anonymous. Identified only by their first name. We pair users who we think will be able to have a good conversation about an important topic. On Indiv, the color of your skin doesn't matter, your religion doesn't matter, how you look doesn't matter. It's not included in your profile. You can choose to share that information with the people you talk to or not.
We make it easy to share your view without fear of your friends shaming you. Your views aren't shared back to Facebook or Twitter. You can say what you actually think. You can learn from someone who sees things differently. When the conversation is over, it's over. It's unlikely you'll interact with that user again. You can vent, you can argue, you can debate, you can learn.
On Indiv there are no likes. There's no shares, retweets, upvotes or view counts. Each message you send is sent to one person and one person only. When you receive a message it's one that was written by another human for you specifically. Our users are civil because there's no incentive to not be. No one else will see it. You can't prove to your friends or followers that you're a good person. It's just you and the other human on the other side of the issue.
We think what we've built is important. We hope you agree. Download the app today and try it out.
